Adopt a Rescue Dog

Give a pound dog a second chance.

How do I adopt one of these dogs?

1. Firstly, you should contact the person named at the bottom of the dogs description.

You can find out more about the dog, discuss your needs, your lifestyle and the dogs suitability for you. We will ask you about such things as your fences, the other people and pets in your household, your working hours and exersise habits. We will talk to you about any special needs the dog might have, be they medical or behavioural. We will talk to you honestly about whether this is the right dog for you or whether another dog might suit you better.

2. We will arrange for you to meet the dog. This might be at the foster home, or at another convenient location such as a park.  If you have another dog, its a good idea for the dogs to meet each other to ensure the dogs get along.  Children also are strongly encouraged to meet the dog before the final decision on adoption is made.

3. We may want to check out your home or your fences, just to make sure the dog will fit in well at your place.

4. If it all looks like a good match, we will invite you to fill out the adoption and microchip form and pay the dogs adoption fee. We will give you the dogs vaccination and desexing certificates and you can take the dog home.

We will be available to help and support you to settle the dog into your home. We have lots of experience with hundreds of dogs going to new families, so if there is a problem, we will probably have a solution.

We also offer a money back guarantee, if despite your best intentions and efforts the adoption doesnt work out in the first two weeks.
